Choosing a Canaan Dog Puppy

Pick Up Stryker,
a Lucy x Zeke Puppy.
It is not as easy as saying, "I want THAT one." We invest a great deal of time and emotion into raising our puppies, as well as getting to know you. In order to place the right puppy in the most suitable home, we ask you complete a questionnaire that will assist us in determining your needs in a Canaan Dog.

At 7 weeks of age a Puppy Temperment Test is performed on the litter. A temperament test is a set of evaluations/tests designed to help evaluate the interest, aptitude, learning ability, and personality of a dog. We use this test help guide us in pairing a puppy with a family who is specifically seeking certain attributes. The results of the test are inlcuded in your puppy package.

At 8 weeks of age, we perform our first structural evaluations on the litter. This is where we are comparing the puppy to the AKC Canaan Dog breed standard and selecting our best examples of the breed for future contributions to the Renegade line.

As we get to know you and the litter, we can choose the most suitable puppy for each family. Puppies start to go to new homes between 10-15 weeks.
