Our good friend Amy Preston and her daughter Lindsey performed the Volhard's Puppy Aptitude Testing on the puppies this week. This testing is intended to identify certain temperament traits that give us some indication of what the dog's temperament will be like as an adult. We have been performing this testing on our pups since our first litter and so far the results have always been pretty accurate. For us, there is usually a surprise when we see how each pup performs. In this litter's case, all of them scored pretty similarly - nice middle of the road scores indicating their potential to be great pets. Ollie, who I thought would be more reserved, warmed up quickly to the testers - of course, it didn't hurt that she was Amy's favorite one. After the testing was over, Amy gave her a lot of extra cuddles and Ollie just ate it up. Both Camber and Jib I thought wuold be bouncy and exuberant and they were more subdued than their usually bouncy selves.
